The individual exposure to radiation from mobile communications, measured over 24 hours, shows no influence on the well-being of children and adolescents. This was the result of a study of 3000 adolescents carried out by the Ludwig Maximilians University (LMU) in Munich on behalf of the Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS). "We still do not know what long-term effects electromagnetic fields from mobile communications have on children and young people," said a BfS spokesman. For precautionary reasons, the BfS therefore continues to recommend careful use of wireless communication technologies, especially with children.
