Illegal shots of mass animal husbandry may be shown

Karlsruhe, April 10, 2018. The Federal Court of Justice has ruled that illegally made recordings - in the interests of consumers and the public - may be shown on television. Most recently, MDR (Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk) had used videos in which secret recordings were made from chicken steels. The videos were shot by animal rights activists and posted on the Internet. Mainly poultry was included. This means that press rights are valued higher than rights of farmers, breeders or companies.
