MULTIVAC promotes voluntary commitment
How can young people get involved socially? How can they contribute their skills and interests – and support others in the process? At a kick-off event at the company headquarters in Wolfertschwandern, the volunteer agency Schaffenslust informed all MULTIVAC trainees in the Allgäu about the numerous opportunities for volunteering. Specifically, an inclusion project is offered to all interested parties, which will start in autumn. As part of the voluntary project, the trainees will work with people with disabilities in the Unterallgäu workshops for a week and accompany them in their everyday work.
"MULTIVAC would like to contribute to a solidary, open, socially and ecologically responsible society together with creativity," said Benedetto Scaturro, chairman of the severely disabled representative at MULTIVAC and co-initiator of the inclusion project. “Volunteering is an enriching experience for everyone involved. With the project, we want to sensitize our trainees to the situation of people with disabilities as part of their training – and maybe even introduce them to volunteer work.”
creativity, a volunteer agency for Memmingen and the Lower Allgäu, is a regional competence center for the promotion and coordination of civic engagement in all its diversity. The agency brings volunteers together with non-profit organizations, associations and initiatives and provides them with advice.
The Unterallgaeu workshops GmbH is a recognized workshop for people with disabilities, a company of the Lebenshilfe Memmingen/Unterallgäu eV. The aim is to give people with disabilities who cannot work on the general labor market an apprenticeship and job and the opportunity to participate in working life. The accompanying social services of the workshops ensure comprehensive care and continuous education through specific individual support, which is intended to promote personality and independent action.
