They represent exactly 1.125 years of service: 62 employees from production and administration were honored for their long-standing commitment and loyalty to SÜDPACK at the annual and traditional anniversary celebration on November 7, 2023 in the community hall in Erlenmoos. Six pensioners also said goodbye to their well-deserved retirement.

According to the information service of the German Economic Institute (iwd), the average length of service for German employees is 11 years. The Federal Statistical Office puts the number of employees surveyed who have been employed by the same employer for at least ten years at just under 43 percent in 2022. 38 percent, i.e. well over a third, will stay for less than five years.

At SÜDPACK, the 62 employees have an average age of over 18 years - an impressive number that shows, above all, that the working atmosphere here is right. The company culture is characterized by flat hierarchies and respectful cooperation, modern compensation and working time models, exciting challenges, excellent future prospects and, last but not least, strong extras that support employees in terms of health, safety and family.

On November 7th, 35 employees were honored for 10 years of service, 18 for 25 years, seven for 35 years and two for an incredible 40 years of commitment and loyalty to SÜDPACK. They all gathered together with their managers and management for the honor in the community hall in Erlenmoos - and after a short welcoming speech and the obligatory presentation of certificates, they celebrated with excellent culinary delights and musical accompaniment from the SÜDPACK House Band until late in the evening. The two 40-year-olds also received the certificate of honor from the state of Baden-Württemberg, which was personally signed by the Prime Minister. Also present were the six pensioners who were seen off into their well-deserved retirement by the management, represented by Carolin Grimbacher, Eric Bouts and Tharcisse Carl as well as owner Johannes Remmele.

When asked, Carolin Grimbacher emphasized how important highly qualified, motivated and at the same time loyal specialists are for the success of a company like SÜDPACK - a company that has to prove its leading position in the market and its innovative strength again and again with groundbreaking solutions and creative concepts: “We are therefore particularly pleased that we can honor so many anniversaries every year for their decades of commitment in this special setting. Our warmest thanks go to Thomas Müller and Hubert Straub, who both began their training at SÜDPACK in 1983 and have developed into outstanding specialists in their field over the course of their professional careers.”

An aspect that is particularly relevant in this context, as Carolin Grimbacher emphasizes. Because: The course for the future is already set during training through a qualified and at the same time attractive training program. “If we can get young people excited about our company and our products, we will be laying the foundation for a long-term and successful collaboration for everyone – and we will be on the safe side even in times of an ever-increasing shortage of skilled workers.”
