Spice Seminar of the German Spice Museum in Kulmbach on 24. November

August 2016, Kulmbach - On Thursday, the 24. In November, the German Spice Museum in Kulmbach in Upper Franconia offers a spice seminar that is just as suitable for experts in the food industry and gastronomy as it is for interested hobby cooks and bakers. Under the guidance of spice sommelier Brigitte Lauterbach, the participants will learn which aromas can influence the mood and well-being and how typical wintry complaints can be treated with tasty ingredients.

Exotic spices from distant lands play a major role in the Christmas kitchen and with the right ingredients the winter blues do not even come up. Botany, history as well as traditional and original applications are just as much a part of the program as a tour of the German Spice Museum.

"Spices are absolutely crucial not only for an outstanding taste, but also for our mood and our health, especially in the winter time," says managing director Sigrid Daum. "In our spice museum in the Kulmbacher Mönchshof, we offer an unconventional and sensory approach to topics around spices, food and drinks."

The seminar will take place on Thursday, 24. November, from 19 clock in the museum education center (MUPÄZ) in the Kulmbacher Mönchshof. The cost is 29 Euro, including admission to the museum, guided tour and workshop. About the German Spice Museum

In October, 2015 opened the largest spice museum in Germany in the Upper Franconian town of Kulmbach. With an interactive, lively exhibition concept, the German Spice Museum transports visitors across 1.200 square meters into another world: the kingdom of spices, their origins, their history, their cultural significance and not least their use then and now. The rooms of the Spice Museum are located in the historic Kulmbacher Mönchshof, where the Bavarian Brewery Museum and the Bavarian Bakery Museum have already found a home there.

The Spice Museum is open from Tuesday through Sunday from 10 to 17. The entrance fee is regular 6 Euro, for children under 6 years admission is free and for young people, seniors and groups of 10 or more there are discounts. With a combined ticket, all three museums in the Kulmbacher Mönchshof can be visited for the price of 12 Euro. Further information at: www.kulmbacher-moenchshof.de.
