Good prospects for collective bargaining

The parties made very good progress in the collective bargaining negotiations between the Vion Food Group and the Food-Pleasure-Gastronomy Union (NGG) on September 7, 2023. The entire industry, including Vion, is under great pressure due to high inflation, increased raw material prices and the other effects of the industry crisis. “That's why we're pleased that we've returned to reality in this round and taken a significant step forward. We can now look positively on the outcome of the negotiations,” comments David De Camp, COO Beef at the Vion Food Group.

As a only meat company whose employees in slaughtering and cutting are fully bound by collective agreements are, Vion stands for like no other company in the industry fair pay and good working conditions. More than 95 percent of employees in the above-mentioned areas earn - in some cases significantly - above the minimum wage. In recent years, not least after the abolition of work contracts and the integration of more than 3.000 employees into the overall group, employees have benefited from massive wage increases at Vion.
