Westfleisch SCE, Münster, has concluded a new collective agreement with the Food-Gourmet-Gastronomy Union (NGG). Among other things, it provides for net one-off payments of 500 euros as well as collective wage increases on October 1, 2023, April 1 and October 1, 2024.

Westfleisch SCE has concluded a new collective agreement with the Food-Gourmet-Gastronomy Union (NGG). Among other things, it provides for net one-off payments of 500 euros as well as collective wage increases on October 1, 2023, April 1 and October 1, 2024. There is a financial benefit for the employees, which, depending on the wage group, more than compensates for the inflation rate.

“Both sides have made concessions in order to maintain the right balance,” explains Carsten Schruck, CFO and Human Resources Director at Westfleisch SCE. On the one hand, there are the financial burdens on employees as a result of the sharp increase in the cost of living. On the other hand, the cooperative must exercise a high degree of entrepreneurial caution due to the extremely difficult economic situation in the sector.

With the collective agreement - which runs until March 31, 2025 - Westfleisch is continuing its long-standing collective bargaining partnership with the NGG. “We are pleased that Westfleisch will continue to be one of the meat industry companies that relies on a reliable collective bargaining partnership in the future,” emphasizes Thomas Bernhard, negotiator and head of department responsible for the meat industry at the NGG.
