Weber Maschinenbau becomes Weber Food Technology

Food producers around the world are constantly pushing forward the automation of their production and want to obtain processing and packaging lines from a single source. Machine and plant manufacturers in the food industry also have to adapt to this and adapt accordingly. Weber Maschinenbau has responded to this development over the last few years with a comprehensive transformation from a machine manufacturer to a solution provider, positioned itself more internationally and placed the needs of customers even more at the center of all activities and developments. The next step is the logical consequence of this transformation in the form of a renaming: Weber Maschinenbau GmbH Breidenbach will become Weber Food Technology GmbH with effect from January 01.01.2024st, XNUMX. This means that the company's identity is visible directly in the company name.

The focus of Weber Food Technology is on the development and provision of solutions for food processing, especially for fresh foods with critical shelf life. Weber has achieved a leading position within the industry, particularly in the area of cold cuts production and packaging, but has continuously expanded its portfolio in recent years to include solutions for other areas such as piece goods as well as snacks and convenience products. The name change nevertheless marks a significant milestone in the company's development: In the future, the Weber solution portfolio will be positioned even more broadly to serve additional markets, and expansion on a global level is also a central part of the strategic orientation of Weber Food Technology. The new name takes this focus and strategy into account. “Our drive is to help customers worldwide achieve their goals and ensure supplies for the population. Providing solutions for the processing and packaging of fresh food is our mission and, as a partner to the food industry, remains our obligation to customers and society,” emphasizes Tobias Weber, CEO of Weber Food Technology GmbH. This is achieved with comprehensive complete solutions, innovative technology and first-class service and advice.

As part of the renaming, the TEXTOR brand, under which slicers and other line components were previously sold, will also be merged into Weber. “Although our line solutions consist of different components, they are more of a networked and connected unit. "Developing and marketing individual components as our own brand no longer corresponds to our holistic approach as a complete solution provider," says Tobias Weber, explaining the decision. However, the Wolfertschwenden location is and remains an important development and production location within the Weber Group and also the very successful one Products developed under the TEXTOR brand remain part of the Weber portfolio.
