Product information directly to the mobile future

mynetfair and Bizerba will present the result of cooperation

In future it will be possible for consumers to scan with your own mobile phone a code from the display of the PC scales to display important product information immediately. This application enstand in a cooperation between the technology manufacturer Bizerba and the Internet marketplace mynetfair. The service creates a never before seen product transparency.

On PC scales at service counters appear in the future not only images, video and product information, but also a so-called QR code (quick response). This code consists of a square matrix and can be scanned directly to the smartphone.

“During the sale, a suitable white wine can be recommended on the scale displays with the fish, for example. If the customer scans the associated code, he is forwarded directly to the mynetfair website and receives detailed information on the respective item or on various other, suitable white wines. With this service, we create an unprecedented level of product transparency, ”explains Matthias Harsch, management spokesman at Bizerba. 

The virtual platform mynetfair offers companies quick and clear access to the market. “Right from the start, more than 100.000 products from around 2.500 companies were available in around 8.500 categories. There are currently 540.000 articles online. For Bizerba, this cooperation with an internationally important partner means a significant step into what is known as the open world, ”says Harsch. In this world, the Bizerba scale software is openly programmed. It therefore also works on PC scales from other manufacturers and can be expanded at any time with additional third-party applications.
