SÜDPACK and Weber Maschinenbau at the interpack

At this year's interpack, SÜDPACK and Weber Maschinenbau will be demonstrating in Hall 5, Stand C19 that the film manufacturer's modern monomaterials can be processed just as easily and efficiently as conventional composites on standard packaging machines. The sustainable rigid film concept is based on polypropylene (PP) and meets current requirements in terms of recyclability. At the Weber Maschinenbau booth, resealable MAP packaging will be produced on the wePACK 7000 thermoforming packaging machine.

If you want to pack sliced products, piece goods or other fresh products safely and sustainably in the highest performance ranges, you cannot do without the wePACK 7000. The powerful, reliable packaging machine convinces with high output, quality and ease of maintenance and service. Their hygienic design and a high degree of automation stand for maximum food safety.

The tool lift with servo drive, specially designed for the needs of the food industry, and the new roller shear cutting with quick-change system contribute to an optimal packaging result as well as excellent performance and flexibility in the packaging process. Both features enable quick product changes with minimal process-related waiting times and maximum output. In addition, checking and control functions for the upper and lower webs ensure process reliability and the avoidance of film and product losses.

Coherent packaging solution with strong properties
The packaging concept itself is a strong and, above all, recyclable duo of the PP-based rigid film Ecoterm and the top film Multipeel PurePP, which is also PP-based. The two high-performance films from SÜDPACK are perfectly matched. Thanks to their excellent thermoformability and machinability, they can be processed without major adjustments to the existing packaging machines. Even high clock rates are possible in continuous operation.

In addition, the innovative material structures offer optimal mechanical and functional properties such as good puncture resistance, which, like the excellent sealing performance, ensures a high level of pack security even with contaminated sealing seams along the entire process chain.

The easy opening and reclosing of the pack is achieved through the use of the particularly material-efficient Multipeel film, which covers all functionalities with a thickness of just 60 µm. A high barrier is integrated into the film for optimal product protection and a longer shelf life. The tried-and-tested reclosure system also prevents premature spoilage, guaranteeing consumers a fresh experience down to the last bite. The Multipeel technology thus also makes a significant contribution to reducing food waste.
