Exchange and future topics attract to Stuttgart

In a few weeks, SÜFFA will open its doors. From October 21st to 23rd, the butcher trade will meet again at the Stuttgart exhibition center to experience the product innovations and new technologies of the national and international exhibitors. In addition, exclusive program items and lectures provide important impetus for your own business.

The lively personal exchange is the big plus of the trade fair. The organizers wanted to know exactly what makes SÜFFA so attractive. Management consultant Fritz Gempel interviewed randomly selected owners from the butcher trade on behalf of Messe Stuttgart. The core questions: Are you coming to SÜFFA 2023? What is particularly important to you when you visit the trade fair? The answers show an increased need for collegial exchange. Many of those surveyed see their colleagues as an important source of information on important future issues, such as securing raw materials, costing, 24/7 solutions or vegetarian options. And according to unanimous information, the SÜFFA is the right meeting place for it.

The motto of the trade fair tour is: "Open your eyes" - because many things that you have not specifically looked for can be an important solution for your own task. One of the challenges to which the specialists from the butcher trade are looking for answers at SÜFFA is sales in times of digitization and the shortage of skilled workers. Several years of professional experience explain why the butchers see SÜFFA as a must-attend event: Visiting the trade fair in Stuttgart has always been worthwhile.

Sabine Batz, Batz butcher shop, Großmehring: "My husband and I intend to visit the SÜFFA trade fair in Stuttgart. We want to take enough time to collect ideas together. Since I cover the marketing area in our company, I am particularly interested in what needs to be done in terms of sales promotion and advertising. In general, we want to be inspired by the exhibitors. We want to take a close look: What are the approaches to improving operations? The best thing about SÜFFA is that at many stands you can talk to competent people from well-known exhibitors. Some business relationship, which has been working well for many years, started at a trade fair stand. For me personally, a visit to a trade fair always gives me my own motivation: You see the other colleagues who also want progress and improvements. In short: we want to be prepared for the future. That's why we're going to Stuttgart."  

Martin Kohler, Kohler butcher shop, Renningen: "For me, SÜFFA has been a must-attend event since I started my apprenticeship as a butcher almost 40 years ago. The visit has given me motivation and inspiration for successful business management every year. If you do without something like this, there is a risk that you will always follow the same well-trodden paths. A visit to the trade fair can only be replaced by the Internet to a very limited extent. Because when you visit the trade fair you see innovations that you may not have been looking for at all, but which are useful for business. I also like the size of SÜFFA : You can get an overview of our industry in one day - even together with the family. What I'm particularly interested in this year are the areas of shopfitting, product presentation and successful sales. And then I look forward to talking to colleagues who I wouldn't meet anywhere else."

Leander Bartz, Bartz country butcher shop, Spangdahlem: "At SÜFFA, it's all about the meat trade. Everything is geared towards us as artisan butchers. I like that. That's why I always like to go to SÜFFA in Stuttgart! We are well equipped in terms of production and are currently not planning any major investments. What I'm particularly interested in this year is the presentation of goods in the branches. But there are many things that are just as important to me as the exhibition: the professional exchange and learning from colleagues, for example. I also always find the lectures in the professional supporting program very useful."

Volker Behrens, butcher shop Behrens, Twistringen: "Stuttgart is more than 600 kilometers away for me, but a visit to SÜFFA is always worth it. One of the main reasons for me is to step out of the usual business environment and take a different perspective. At SÜFFA I meet many successful colleagues from Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. And: I may be from northern Germany, but I lost my heart to southern Germany during my time at the Augsburg butcher's school and the academy of the butcher's trade. I also consider a real trade fair to be a very technically intensive one experience than anything that can be done online - live is just better."

Laura Braun, Braun country butcher shop, Weiherhammer: "I think the SÜFFA is great. You meet a lot of successful colleagues at this trade fair like hardly anywhere else. I have a lot of questions on which I want to exchange ideas. For example: How do I go about the necessary price increases at the counter? How do we ensure delivery security for meat - with the animal husbandry that customers want? How can we best save on contracts with energy suppliers? Or also: Should we offer vegan and vegetarian products? SÜFFA always offers lectures on such topics - I think that's also important. If "Whenever I walk through the exhibition halls, I'm particularly interested in the topics of energy saving and digitization - both in sales and in production. One thing is certain for me: even if the internet keeps getting better: we can't do without a face-to-face fair like SÜFFA."

Gerhard Kaiser, butcher shop Kaiser, Rheinhausen: "First of all, you meet a lot of colleagues at SÜFFA, including some you haven't seen in a long time. This professional exchange is in itself an important SÜFFA reason. Then, with every SÜFFA visit, the first tour of the exhibition halls always gave me so many incentives for improvements in the company that the trip was worth it. Without SÜFFA I would not have come across many things that I am grateful for in everyday business life. In general, SÜFFA as a trade fair offers something that the internet cannot offer: touching and trying out. When I look back over a few decades, I can say: no matter what we bought for the company: SÜFFA was always the leading trade fair to provide us with information."

Michael Wurz, Wurz butcher shop, Metzingen: "Every modern company has to look ahead and constantly look for innovations. SÜFFA is just the right place for this. Because this trade fair is competent and compact. You can get a complete overview of the industry in just one day of your visit. For me, SÜFFA also means staying in touch with suppliers and colleagues. The topic on which I've been looking for solutions for some time is called "Selling with less personnel effort". , the offer here is getting better and better."
