Euro Meat Gold Trophy 2023
Under the motto "Sport for a good cause" collects or generates money and donations in kind for a defined good cause by organizing sporting events. He has been supporting charitable organizations and foundations for many years. Projects for sick and disadvantaged children and their needs are particularly important to him. The international sports club, in which members from all over the world do sports together, was a guest at Handtmann in Biberach in Upper Swabia as part of the Euro Meat Golf Trophy 2023.
The company division of filling and portioning systems (F&P) is once again involved as a sponsor of this charity project and invited to a reception and factory tour. Managing Director Sales Germany Jens Klemp and Global Marketing Director Thomas Ott welcomed the Euro Meat Golf Team to the Handtmann Forum. After a lively exchange, the guests were impressed by the variety of modern food processing during their tour of the technology center. At the concluding get-together, Jens Klemp once again underlined the importance of social responsibility: "As a family-run company in its fifth generation, the Handtmann Group attaches great importance to social responsibility. For example, Arthur Handtmann and his wife Ilse set up the "Arthur and Ilse Handtmann Employee Foundation" together with his wife Ilse in 2017 on the occasion of his 90th birthday and thus set an example of social responsibility towards the employees of the Handtmann group of companies".. In an unbureaucratic way, employees and their relatives who have found themselves in a particularly difficult situation through no fault of their own can receive financial support from the Employee Foundation. Finally Ott: “We are therefore very pleased that our commitment supports the Sport für ein Guten Zweck e. V. in its social work and its projects for disadvantaged children to be able to support”.
About the Arthur and Ilse Handtmann Employee Foundation
The employee foundation is organized into a foundation advisory board and a foundation board. The advisory board consists of members of the Handtmann family. The Advisory Board appoints and monitors the members of the Foundation's Executive Board and updates the guidelines for the allocation of funds as necessary. The board of directors comprises up to five people, two of whom are employee representatives proposed by the group works council. It decides on the allocation of financial support, represents the foundation towards third parties, prepares the annual accounts and reports on the fulfillment of the foundation's purpose.
